The North Carolina / South Carolina Ladies Challenge Cup was created in 1981 when the girls from Charleston, SC and Charlotte, NC got together to play the first event.
The Cup series is still going strong and entering their 42nd year making it the longest running Challenge Cup series in the history of America. Pretty impressive stuff from such humble beginnings. The Greater Greenville Dart Girls entered way back in 2011 and got to first play for the Cup in 2012 when we faced the Charleston, SC Ladies Team who is the most successful team in the Cup Series. We didn't win on that day but created a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Dropping to the bottom of the Challenge ladder we returned in 2013 to again play the Charleston, SC team. This time the Girls won the Cup for the first time and has been it's most successful team since then. The Cup series brings out the best that community darts has to offer and we have a great group of girls that are tough players and outstanding hosts and represent GGD with class.
