The 2021 ussda-winmau cricket
national championships
The 2021 USSDA-Winmau Cricket National Championship was played in Charlotte, NC on Thursday July 8th, 2021.
The event was held in conjunction will the Charlotte Open and is hosted by the Queen City Darting Association.
We had 70 players on hand, 50 Men and 20 Ladies, this was our largest field ever for the
Cricket Nationals and it started with a seeding bracket leading to a knockout round. The field included
3 youth players and 2 disabled players including David Hillsberg, the first wheelchair player
to play in a non disability National Championship event. Our sources
tell us he is the first player in the world to compete in such an event.
In the end, Dani Warmack edged Marlise Kiel for the Ladies title and Jason Brandon topped
Jules van Dongen for the Men's crown. Both won their first USSDA-Winmau National Championships.
