About the USSDA
We are the United States Sports Dart Alliance and we care about darts.
On July 4th , 2017 we began our journey and since have added our footprint to the landscape of American darts.
Our goals are simple, promote the sport we love, traditional steel tip darts. Promote the players, promoters, organizers and officials who manage and compete in the events and help grow the sport in America.
We want to assist our partner leagues in building a solid grass roots system in America and we have some pretty big ideas going forward.
We began contacting leagues and spreading our message in the Summer of 2017 and later that year partnered with Winmau and their American distributor Dutchman Darts. The USSDA is honored to have the support
of such amazing partners as we look forward to the future.
The USSDA held the first Winmau 501 National Championship in Myrtle Beach, SC in October, 2017 and began our yearly National Championship program. In 2018, we added Cricket and 501 Youth Nationals.
Our commitment to Long Format 501 was kicked off in 2018 with the
implementation of our Challenger Series. These events have grown through the years and in 2019 a point system was added.
In 2020 the global pandemic forced many organizations to cancel their tournaments and the USSDA was also forced to cancel our 2020 National Championships. We remain steady in our support of the game and look forward to events soon.
We invite you to look around our website and please let us know if you have
any questions.
